Traci Adkins
Traci Adkins was born September 16, 1981 in Charleston, West Virginia. She is an entertainment news reporter, producer, actress and model. Traci went to Bowie State University where she was a cheerleader and earned a bachelors degree in broadcasting communications in 2003 and has been working in the media field since.

Her professional career began as a production assistant for C-SPAN then to B.E.T. Nightly News where she was an assistant producer and reporter. In 2004 she became a producer for XM Satellite Radio and Radio – One, Inc, and is now a producer with Fox 5 in Washington, DC. She also hosts “The Hit List, a video countdown show on public access in Bowie, Maryland and is a freelance writer for a growing hip-hop magazine in the Washington, DC area.

 

In addition to broadcasting, Traci has pursued a career is acting as well. She can be seen in both Season 2 and 3 of HBO’s “The Wire”. In 2006, she landed roles in three independent films; “Rise Above The Silver And Gold” and “Old Maids in the New Millennium” with Equal Opportunity Motion Pictures and in “Prayer Life” with East West Films.
